Simulation

Submitted by lfodor on September 15th, 2013 3:48 PM

Another way of establishing causality [1] between variables is through the use of simulation.

A sophisticated set of mathematical formula are used to simulate or imitate a real life situation. By changing one variable in the equation, it is possible to determine the effect on the other variables in the equation.

In the hospitality and tourism industries, computer simulation and model building is used extremely rarely. Its use tends to be limited to a few rare impact and forecasting studies.

The simulation design is conclusive research [2] that is secondary research [3] in nature. Simulation is a quantitative research [4] technique.
