    • Ecological flow assessment (quantifying the water needs of aquatic ecosystems and setting targets for the management of water resources)
    • Stormwater management (particularly source controls and infiltration practices)
    • Watershed water balances and the role of wetlands and vegetation
    • Wetland hydroecology
    • Water resources and ecosystem protection policy
