As a Food Science student, you will apply chemistry, microbiology and physics to the processing and development of new food products and processes.

 Gain Hands-on Experience

 Develop a Broad Spectrum of Food Science Skills

This program covers the aspects of food science, including nutrition, sensory evaluation, product development and marketing.

Food is a multi-billion dollar industry that is influenced by changing socio-economic conditions and evolving tech. As a Food Science student, you will learn the skills and nuances of the industry to contribute to the food system and be able to work anywhere in the world.

Students in the Food Science (FOOD) major at the University of Guelph might also be interested in studying Microbiology, Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences, Biomedical Toxicology, Biochemistry, Food Industry Management, or other majors.
