Description

The Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) is proud to launch its first Canadian Food Safety Fund (CFSF) Request for Project Proposals.

This proposal will serve as a “test” of the internal management processes being used by CPMA and as such will have a run time of approximately six (6) months.

Please see the CFSF Request for Proposals Document for a list of suggested research topics. 

Funding Availability

$50,000 total

Maximum Project Value

No single project shall exceed $25,000

Indirect Costs

Please include 25% overhead on your OR-5 and project budget. Please note, this rate may change depending on CPMA's guidelines (TBD). 

Project Duration

The inaugural Request for Proposals will have a term of approximately six months.

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.

Internal Deadline

Please submit a copy of the CFSF Project Proposal document, the CFSF Funding Terms document, and a signed OR-5 to the Office of Research Services at resserv@uoguelph.ca.

The Office of Research will review the terms and conditions of and obtain institutional sign-off on the Funding Terms document. 

External Deadline

Lead applicant must send a completed copy of the CFSF Project Proposal document (signed by Lead Applicant) and CFSF Funding Terms document (signed by the Office of Research) to Jeff Hall at jhall@cpma.ca.

Information For Co-applicants

If you need to meet a deadline set by the lead institution for this opportunity, please ensure that you provide the Office of Research with at least five days in advance of the lead institution’s deadline to review the application, or your proposed component of the project. Please be in touch with the Office of Research (contact information below) ahead of the deadline if it looks like it will be difficult for you to submit all the required documentation on time (i.e. budget, proposal, OR-5 Form).
