Description

The Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) represents companies that are active in the marketing of fresh vegetables in Canada from the farm gate to the dinner plate. The CPMA's Canadian Food Safety Fund (CFSF) supports food safety research, education and projects with a focus on the Canadian produce industry. 

The CPMA is soliciting proposals for research projects designed to benefit the Canadian produce industry in the areas of foundational research or industry food safety practices. 

Suggested research topics: 

  • Original project (as proposed by researcher)
  • Extension of existing projects

Funding Availability

The CPMA will be supporting three projects for 2026.

Internal Deadline

Please submit a copy of the CFSF Project Proposal document, the CFSF Funding Terms document and a signed OR-5 to research.services@uoguelph.ca.

Research Services Office will review the terms and conditions of and obtain institutional sign-off on the Funding Terms document. 

External Deadline

Lead applicant must send a completed copy of the CFSF Project Proposal document (signed by Lead Applicant) and CFSF Funding Terms document (signed by RSO) to Jeff Hall at jhall@cpma.ca.
