Summer 2026: Dry Beans Call for License Proposals

Six (6) dry bean varieties are being offered for a licensing opportunity, which includes:

• Black Bean - OAC 24-B2
• Cranberry Bean - OAC 24-C1
• Navy Bean - OAC 24-1 and OAC 24-4
• Red Kidney Bean - OAC 24-D1
• White Kidney Bean - OAC 24-W1

The successful application will be granted exclusive rights within the designated territory; encompassing both Canada and the U.S. These rights include seed increase, distribution, and commercialization. 

Closing Date: Proposals must be received by 4:00 pm (ET) Friday, October 16, 2026 to be considered. 

Submission Details: Electronic copies of proposals should be submitted to the Research Innovation Office, adressed to Stephen Dinka (Technology Transfer Manager - Germplasm) at germplasm@uoguelph.ca.
