Creating a Community Where Everyone Can Thrive with United Way

The University of Guelph has officially launched its 2025 United Way Campaign, celebrating over 40 years of partnership and more than $13.5 million raised for our community.

This year’s campaign is led by Erin Mancini, special constable with the Campus Safety Office, and Dr. John Walsh, associate professor and director of the School of Languages and Literatures. Together, they aim to keep the momentum going after last year’s successful campaign.

President Dr. Rene Van Acker shared his support for the initiative, emphasizing that “our mission to Improve Life extends to our city, region, and beyond.” He highlighted the University’s continued commitment to creating lasting change alongside United Way and tackling local issues such as poverty, food insecurity, and mental health.

With strong leadership and campus-wide enthusiasm, this year’s campaign continues the proud Gryphon tradition of proving that Better is Possible.
