Two inspiring community leaders are stepping up to lead this year’s United Way Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph campaign at the University of Guelph: Erin Mancini and Dr. John Walsh.

Staff Co-Chair: Erin Mancini
A special constable with the Campus Safety Office, Erin has been a proud United Way supporter since 2009. Her long history of community service includes volunteering with Chalmers Community Services, Wyndham House, and the St. John Ambulance Medical Response Unit. For Erin, the campaign reflects “how the University is interwoven into the City of Guelph - a heartfelt way for our community to give back each fall.”

Faculty Co-Chair: Dr. John Walsh
An award-winning educator and director of the School of Languages and Literatures, John returns for his second year as co-chair. He believes the United Way is “more than a charity - it’s a community-driven force for change.” John’s dedication to service has earned him multiple honours, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal and the Dr. William Winegard Exemplary Volunteer Involvement Award.

Together, Erin and John embody the spirit of giving and leadership that makes U of G’s 40+ year partnership with United Way so impactful.
