Women's Campus Safety Initiatives
The University of Guelph has received an annual grant from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) since 1991 for the purpose of promoting the safety of women on campus. The grant is administered by the Human Rights and Equity Office which facilitates a public grants process with the assistance of the Women's Campus Safety Initiatives Committee. WCSI funding has been a vital infusion of dollars into initiatives that address the safety needs of women. Funding is used to support programs, services and initiatives that address issues of women's safety, sexual harassment and violence against women.
