
Refer a Friend – CCMPS 2025
You’ve been through a lot with your friends and family, and we know going to University in a new country is a big decision. Wouldn’t it be comforting to have them join you?
As University of Guelph international students, you are the best advocates for our academic programs, welcoming community and overall satisfaction with your post-secondary experience.
With our new international student referral incentive program, you can now refer your family and friends to the College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences undergraduate programs*. In return, we will provide you and your referral with a $200 University of Guelph gift card, usable at our bookstore and hospitality outlets, upon the referred student’s registration and maintenance of their first semester.

*Eligible programs for enrolment of the referral into include:
- Bachelor of Computing
- Bachelor of Mathematics
- Bachelor of Science – specific majors only including Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biomedical Toxicology, Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Mathematical Science, Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physical Science.

Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the referral incentive program, referring individuals must be considered registered students or in process of registration at the University of Guelph and the referred student must be considered international fee-paying and seeking entry into the programs listed above at the University of Guelph, but have not already applied or been admitted to the University.
Terms and Conditions
The international student referral incentive program is offered by the College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences (CCMPS) at the University of Guelph to provide an incentive to registered students that are referring family, friends or members of their social circle to apply for admission to a CCMPS undergraduate program of study. The following terms and conditions govern the referral incentive program, and by participating in the referral incentive program, each registered student agrees to these terms and conditions.
Referral Process and Incentives
- To refer an international fee-paying family, friend or colleague, a registered student or one in process of registration (“referee”) must fill out the information form on the CCMPS website at https://uoguel.ph/6re5k and include the prospective candidate’s name and contact information (the “Referred Person”).
- A Referred Person must be a new applicant and cannot have previously been referred, applied, or admitted to the referred program at the University of Guelph.
- A Referred Person cannot be an employee (or their immediate family member) of the University of Guelph or its affiliated campuses.
- Upon reviewing the information form, a University of Guelph representative will contact the Referred Person at the provided contact information to discuss and provide additional application and admission information.
- If the Referred Person is subsequently admitted to a CCMPS program and has successfully paid one semester of tuition fees, the referee and the referred will receive one (1) $200 gift card (the “Referral Incentive”) each.
- Referees can refer any number of individuals and if condition #5 is met (above), they will receive the dollar amount of the incentive as a gift card accordingly.
- The Referral Incentive(s) will be delivered after the commencement of classes and payment of the semester one tuition balance by the referee and referred person. They will be contacted via the designated University of Guelph student email address. The Referee must ensure that the email address provided is accurate, failing which CCMPS may not be able to properly deliver the referral incentive.
- All referrals will be considered beginning February 2025 until further notice.
- Applications generated via agents or pathway partnerships are not eligible for the referral incentive program and any persons referred through such means shall not be considered to be a Referred Person.
Disclaimers
- Termination: CCMPS and/or the University of Guelph reserves the right to modify or terminate the international student referral incentive program at any time without notice.
- Violation of Terms and Conditions: CCMPS may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Referee from participating in or receiving a referral incentive if they violate these Terms and Conditions or engage in any fraudulent or unethical behaviour.
- Inaccurate Information: CCMPS shall not be responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information provided by participants in connection with the referral incentive program, including information provided on the information form.
- Liability and No Consequential Damages: Referees and Referred Persons assume all risks and liabilities associated with their participation in the referral incentive program. In no event shall CCMPS and the University of Guelph be liable to any Referee or Referred Person for any consequential, exemplary, punitive, incidental, indirect, or special damages or costs howsoever arising out of or related to this agreement, whether or not either party has been advised of the possibility of such damages or costs.
- Indemnification: Referees and Referred Persons agree to release CCMPS and the University of Guelph and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, or losses arising from their participation in the referral incentive program.
- Personal Information: All personal information collected by CCMPS will be in compliance with the University of Guelph’s privacy policy and used solely for the purpose of administering the referral incentive program and will not be shared with any third parties.
- Entire Agreement. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire terms and conditions of the international student referral incentive program.
