- "Office 365" refers to subscription plans that include access to Office applications plus other cloud based productivity services such as Exchange Online (e-mail and calendaring), OneDrive for Business (cloud storage) and SharePoint Online (document collaboration).
- The Office 365 subscription plan offered by the University of Guelph also includes the desktop version of the latest Office applications, which users can install across multiple computers and devices. The fully installed applications include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. (Publisher and Access are available on PC only.)
Office 365 for Staff, Faculty and Students
- As of June 18th, 2017, all Staff, Faculty and Students have been migrated to Office 365, which is now the centrally supported e-mail and calendaring system for all users.

- Users who have a current Office 365 account through the University of Guelph can download Microsoft Office 2016 for either PC or Mac through the Office 365 Portal (portal.office.com).
