This webinar explored how the One Health approach can be used across sectors to help break down silos, connect diverse perspectives, and build or strengthen collaborations.
Equity, balance, stewardship, and transdisciplinarity lie at the heart of One Health. By recognizing the interconnectedness of people, animals, and ecosystems, One Health provides a framework for addressing complex challenges through collaboration across sectors, disciplines, and communities.
While often associated with health-related fields, the principles of One Health can be applied across a wide range of careers and industries. Whether you work with humans, animals, the environment, or at the intersection of these, One Health offers valuable tools for building partnerships, creating new understanding, and fostering sustainable change.

Dr. Carrie McMullen (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Scholar in Population Medicine and One Health at the University of Guelph, where she specializes in evaluating One Health interventions in both community and higher education settings. Currently, she is assessing an educational program in Nyamagabe District, Rwanda, that aims to improve the lives of women and girls through lessons on zoonotic, waterborne, and foodborne diseases and gender-transformative principles.
