Our Offer
We provide confidential, tailored services using our on-site twin-screw extruder. Collaborate with our team of experienced food technologists to:
- Develop and refine new extruded products
- Explore ingredient functionality and process behaviour
- Optimize formulation, texture, and processing conditions
- Conduct feasibility studies and pre-commercial trials
GFIC works closely with partners to design trials, interpret results, and support progression from concept evaluation to pilot-scale validation. This collaborative approach helps ensure extruded products achieve targeted functional, sensory, and processing characteristics suitable for scale-up.

Extrusion Technology & Capabilities
Our facility is equipped with a Coperion ZSK 27 twin-screw extruder with an attachable FKD-750 DIL cooling die, offering precision and flexibility for research and product development.
With this equipment, GFIC supports the development of a wide range of products, including:
- Expanded snacks and cereals
- Texturized vegetable protein (TVP)
- High-moisture meat analogues
- Nutritional and functional foods
- Pet and animal feed
Our extrusion capabilities enable detailed assessment of ingredient interactions, expansion characteristics, and texturization performance. Pilot-scale processing generates data that supports formulation refinement and evaluation of commercial production feasibility.

Bring Your Extruded Products to Life
From initial testing to pilot-scale trials, GFIC provides the equipment, expertise, and support you need to develop and optimize extruded products. Collaborate with our team to test functionality, refine formulations, and accelerate your product from concept to reality.
