Job Posting: Student Desk Clerk

Fall 2026 – Winter 2027

Are you looking for a part time job for the Fall and Winter semesters, and want shifts that work around your class schedule? 

We are looking for students that have a passion for customer service and thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment!

Employment Dates: Monday, August 24, 2026 – Friday, May 1, 2027
Starting Wage: $17.60/hour

 
 

Requirements:

  • Must be a registered student at the University of Guelph
  • Available to work up to 24 hours per week (including evening and weekends)
  • Proficiency Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience in customer service environments preferred

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills  
  • Previous experience in customer service roles  
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, midnights, evenings, days, and statutory holidays  
  • Knowledge of the University campus, University website, and Student Housing Services  
  • Familiarity with University resources available to students and guests  
  • Ability to react quickly and demonstrate problem-solving skills in challenging situations
