Research Statement:
My research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, bioinformatics, and computational biology. I develop computational and data-driven methods for analyzing complex biological and biomedical data, with a particular interest in antimicrobial resistance, microbiome and metagenomic data, cancer genomics, and precision medicine. My current research includes developing machine learning approaches for antimicrobial resistance surveillance in livestock systems, studying temporal changes in microbial resistomes, and investigating predictive biomarkers for cancer treatment response. I am particularly interested in interpretable and reproducible computational methods that can translate complex biological data into meaningful insights and support interdisciplinary research.
