Grant Fahlgren, Indigenous Design Lead at PFS Studio, speaking on “Indigenous Urbanism:  Design for all our Relations.”

This talk explores the potential for a shared future where environmental relations guide cities’ growth rather than abstract concepts of land use and zoning. The discussion will include:  how commitments to Reconciliation involve living in alignment with our environments; how we can move from notions of depreciation in buildings and infrastructure to emergence within natural systems; and how we can foster the support needed to make this future possible.

This talk is generously supported by the University of Guelph Indigenous Student Society and the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects.
