Cornelia Hahn Oberlander will receive an Honorary Doctorate degree at the University of Guelph Fall Convocation on Saturday, October 17th, 2015.

The School will host an informal reception for Cornelia with landscape architecture students and faculty in the LA Pit from 4:00-5:00 pm.

Please join the School in congratulating Cornelia on her achievements.

Cornelia Hahn Oberlander, one of Canada's distinguished landscape architects was one of the first women to study at Harvard University's design school and became a leader in sustainable design will receive an honorary doctorate during the fall convocation ceremonies at the University of Guelph on October 17, 2015 at War Memorial Hall.  

Cornelia's career spans over six decades and is still going strong. She is often referred to as a national treasure and her love of nature and respect for the environment has guided and inspired her work.   Her work has been internationally acclaimed, from her green roof on the Canadian Embassy in Berlin, to the atrium of the New York Times building, to the grounds surrounding the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver.
