Dogs from Therapeutic Paws of Canada Visit SEDRD!

Submitted by dfoolen on November 21st, 2018 4:27 PM

On Wednesday, November 14th, we were fortunate to have some special guests visit the School.  Ziggy and Milo, accompanied by their owners, provided enjoyment and relaxation to over 40 students. With the end of semester pressures of assignments and upcoming exams, a 15 minute visit with Milo and Ziggy offered a superb way to relax and take a study break.

Therapeutic Paws of Canada [1] is a non-profit organization of volunteers providing animal resources for human needs (physical, mental, educational, motivational, socialization) through regular visits to schools, hospitals, residences etc.

Many thanks to the owners for taking the time out of their busy schedules to attend.  Also, a thank you to organizers, Diana Myers and Peggy Pritchard.

About Us

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) brings together major academic fields concerned with creating strong communities, in Canada and around the world. The four highly respected programs in SEDRD share many common goals but approach them in different and complementary ways. This model reflects the imperatives in building authentic communities where planners, landscape architects, communicators, and citizens all play important interdependent roles in community strength.
