University of Guelph - Landscape Architecture Guest Lecture Series presents:

Michael Brightman, ASSOC. AIA, M.ARCH.  Founder & Principal of Brightman Designs [1]
SketchUp Professional Visiting Scholar

Mike Brightman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a Masters Degree in Architecture from Kent State University. After finishing his degrees he spent several years working in architecture firms creating complex designs and visualizations exclusively using SketchUp — most notably working at Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative in Denver, CO and Urban Studio Architects in Tampa, FL.  Mike founded Brightman Designs in 2013. He gained major industry recognition as a regular speaker on the national circuit while providing hundreds of hours of free learning to thousands of SketchUp users. Mike has also published multiple books on the topic including, The SketchUp Workflow for Architecture.

Lecture is Generously Supported by: SketchUp, as part of the SketchUp Visiting Professional Scholars grant and STEF funding grant (obtained by Prof. Martin Holland).

Christopher Brashar, of SketchUp, will be part of the workshops.

Workshop Schedule: 

Wednesday, October 9:

Workshop:  BLA 1- 10:30am- 11:45am, room 125- Basics of SketchUp
Lecture:  12:15pm to 1:15pm in the LA PIT.  Lecture open to all.
Workshop: Open Session for SEDRD in the PIT: tentative time- 2:00pm 3:30pm

Thursday, October 11: 

Workshops:
MLA 1- 9:00am- 11:30am, SketchUp Basics
BLA 4- 1:30pm- 4:00pm, SketchUp Urban Design Advanced, Lumion
