Four SEDRD graduate students were recently profiled by the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation [1] (CRRF) as emerging rural scholars! The February 2020 CRRF national newsletter [2] highlighted the research being conducted by Victoria Agyepong, Koren Lam, and Ashleigh Weeden.  The research themes are noted below:

  • Victoria Aygepong: Bringing People to the Centre: Governance of Digital Circular Food Economy in Non-Metro Ontario.
  • Angela Asuncion: Canada and the Philippines - A comparative analysis of environmental corporate social responsibility practices and their associated impacts on rural communities
  • Koren Lam: Rural Telecommuters in Southwestern Ontario
  • Ashleigh Weeden: Developing a Place-Based Approach to Rural Innovation Policy

The Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation is a national charity committed to the betterment of rural communities in Canada. If you are interested in rural development issues, sign up [3] to receive the monthly CRRF newsletter free of charge.
