The Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE), established in 1984, is an international professional organization for agricultural and extension educators who share a common goal of strengthening agricultural and extension education programs and institutions worldwide. The Association is one of the few international organizations which focuses on maintaining liaison and working relationships with various groups and institutions and provides a medium for the exchange of ideas and information relating to programs of international agricultural and extension education. This is the first time that the organization has selected someone from Canada for this award. As a Canadian academic, Dr. Chowdhury is proud to receive the award in recognition of his service and scholarship in international agricultural and extension education.
