4th Annual LA Networking Night

Submitted by dfoolen on March 11th, 2022 3:09 PM
Date:
Friday, March 25th, 2022 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Location:

Online via Platform - Wonder [1]

Dear BLA and MLA students!

After missing the last two years due to the pandemic, the University of Guelph Landscape Architecture programs are thrilled to be hosting our annual Student Networking Night, and you are invited! This isn’t a job fair — it’s a casual networking event where students and professionals can mix and mingle and make connections, and it will be hosted online.

Designed for graduating 4th year BLA and 3rd year MLA students but open to all of our students, in previous years the event has attracted upward of 150 students and 25 firms / LA organizations.  We are planning to use a user friendly and fun virtual event platform called wonder [1] and will send more information in the lead up to the event.

Wonder allows attendees to create an avatar and casually move around a virtual space and join conversations. Firms will be given a designated spot in the space, and students can move around, listen or join in on conversations.

About Us

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) brings together major academic fields concerned with creating strong communities, in Canada and around the world. The four highly respected programs in SEDRD share many common goals but approach them in different and complementary ways. This model reflects the imperatives in building authentic communities where planners, landscape architects, communicators, and citizens all play important interdependent roles in community strength.
