Submitted by dfoolen on February 8th, 2023 3:16 PM

We are pleased to welcome Cate Mennega as SEDRD’s new Administrative Officer, effective February 1, 2023.

Cate joins SEDRD from Molecular & Cellular Biology, College of Biological Science at Guelph, where she was their Administrative Officer.  Her administrative and leadership activities will surely enhance SEDRD’s efficiency, effectiveness, and evolution, in serving our students, staff, faculty and the broader university.

"This is an amazing time to join SEDRD given the tremendous evolution of faculty over recent years, ongoing program-driven evaluation and development of curricula, successful accreditation reviews, and our ability to attract the very best in award-wining students, faculty and post-docs; we're absolutely delighted to have Cate join our school,” says Sean Kelly, SEDRD Director. “Cate’s administrative experience spans over several years in academic, research, and national community-based organizations.  Her managerial, finance, and research grants experience is a great fit for SEDRD and OAC; I am extremely pleased that Cate has joined our community and look forward to working with her.”

In this role Cate will work directly with SEDRD’s director, the program assistants and clerk, and provide the necessary insight, advice, and supervision to ensure SEDRD’s operations and facilities are efficient, effective, and compliant.
