SKETCH-UP & 3D Rendering Lecture and Workshop LECTURE Details: Date: Wednesday, February 3rd 11:30 am -12:20 pm Room LA 125 SketchUp started as a casual 3d software which eventually become one of the mainstream 3d modeling software. Together with other plugins, it can be a very important design communication and visualization tool, from grading, sun-shade studies, "What-If" for design decisions, to final presentation, just to name a few. In short, the toolset can be used for landscape architecture students to test their design in a virtual 3d environment and to present design ideas accurately. In this one hour "lunch and learn" lecture, Mansoor will take students through one of his most recent urban design project, from CAD to SketchUp to 3d rendering. Come and take your lunch while enjoying this exciting visual journey allowing students to understand the issues encountered and how they were resolved in an effective manner in creating an impressive 148,000,000 polygon model. He will also talk about some details in promoting the upcoming 5 Day SketchUp and 3d Rendering Workshop which will happen during Reading Week (February 15-19).
