Submitted by dfoolen on March 14th, 2024 11:17 AM

It is with great pleasure that SEDRD and the MSc program in Capacity Development and Extension announces and welcomes a new faculty member, Dr. Derya Tarhan, Assistant Professor (tenure track). Dr. Tarhan will join the School as of June 1, 2024.

Originally from Turkey, Dr. Tarhan holds a PhD in Education from OISE (University of Toronto). He is an award-winning instructor with strong theoretical grounding in interdisciplinary studies. Dr. Tarhan has strong research and service experience in cooperative practice for justice-oriented social and environmental change. As CDE innovates its curriculum with a new course-based Masters program and develops new global partnerships, we look forward to Dr. Tarhan’s leadership as a community-engaged scholar.
