Dr. Ataharul Chowdhury, an Associate Professor in Capacity Development and Extension, was installed as the 40th president of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education [1] (AIAEE) during their annual conference at the University of Florida on April 24, 2024. This is a wonderful recognition as it is the most prestigious international scholarly association for faculties of agricultural extension, leadership and communication.

The 2023 AIAEE conference at the University of Guelph, hosted by SEDRD, and other contributions by our school to AIAEE, have not been unnoticed and has been appreciated and acknowledged by a number of our colleagues from major US institutes, such as Purdue, Texas A&M, PennState, Texas Tech, and UofL and global institutes, such as GFRAS/ FAO.

Ata is making a significant impact through his work with the AIAEE.  We are very fortunate for his efforts. Congratulations to Ata!
