Chris Van Dyke is a recent graduate of the Master of Planning (MPlan) degree in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development.  Chris’ major research paper was recently referenced in the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly by Frame Lake MLA Julian Morse in a statement on the territory's housing challenges.   The recorded segment can be found on YouTube [1] (beginning at 35:30 minutes).

Van Dyke’s major research paper titled “Home on Borrowed Land: Geographies of Land Leasing and the Impacts of Colonial Land Policy on Housing in the Northwest Territories” can be found at the University of Guelph Library Atrium [2], and a brief research summary can be found on the Rural Development website [3].

Chris will start his PhD in Rural Studies in the Fall of 2024.
