SEDRD Orientation 2025 for all new BLA, MLA, RPD, and CDE students

Orientation to the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development and each individual program (CDE, LA, RPD) is scheduled in person on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the Landscape Architecture building. Please plan to attend these events, as this is an important part of your integration to our School and our programs.  

SEDRD Orientation Day Events Include:

9:30—10:00 am.  BLAThe 
Landscape Architecture Student Society (LASS) will meet with BLA students.  Information was provided on the LASS student association, including goals, plans, activities, tips and tricks, etc. Location: LA 125.  LASS will also hold activities with BLA students in the afternoon.

10:00 - 11:30 am.  BLA
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Information Session - “Meeting of Major.” BLA overview, opportunities, registration, counselling information and program questions with BLA Program Coordinator and BLA Program Counsellor.  Location:  LA 125. 

11:30 am - noon  (all programs)           
Introduction to the School of Environmental Design & Rural Development for all new BLA, MLA, RPD, CDE and PHD students.  A brief introduction to SEDRD faculty and staff.  Location:  LA Pit Foyer.

Noon (all new students)
Lunch for all new SEDRD Graduate and Undergraduate Students.  Location: LA Pit/Courtyard.

1:30 pm.  MLA 
Landscape Architecture (MLA graduate students) Information Session.  An introductory session with LA faculty.  General information on the MLA program will be provided.  Location: LA 125.

1:30 pm. RPD
Rural Planning and Development Information Session.  An introductory session with the RPD faculty.  General information on the RPD programs will be provided.  Location: LA 143.

2:30 pm. CDE
Capacity Development and Extension Information Session.  An introductory session with the CDE faculty.  General information on the CDE program will be provided.  Location: LA 133.
