There will be two LandKit [1] Workshops for Friday, October 17 and Friday, October 24, from 12:00–1:30 PM in the LA Pit. Both sessions will be led by Andrew Marumoto (BLA 4), who worked with this parametric plugin during his summer internship at Design Workshop.LandKit [1] is a parametric plugin for Grasshopper/Rhino tailored to landscape architecture, streamlines grading, planting, paving, and performance analysis through robust, component-based workflows, enabling faster iteration and more rigorous, evidence-based design.

Workshop topics (overview):

  • What is LandKit (LK) and why does it matter?
  • What are the 4 main tools in LK?
  • Describe the building blocks to use LK (Areas, environments, topo, paving, plants, niches, etc.
  • Demonstration of TopoKit
  • Demonstration of Paving Kit
  • Demonstration of analysis
  • Demonstration of PlantKit

Please install Rhino and LandKit plugin before the sessions.
