The SEDRD Graduate Student Society is excited to announce that the annual Rural Romp will be hosted on April 7th from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. Join us for a day filled with engaging speaker presentations and site visits to gain new perspectives on SEDRD and rural Ontario. Participation in this event is free, and lunch will be provided.
Guest Speakers:
- Brendan Stewart, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture, University of Guelph,
- S. Ashleigh Weeden, PhD Rural Studies alumnus, University of Guelph
- Ryan Deska, Director of Community Engagement and Development, Guelph Habitat for Humanity.
Site Visits:
- Woodrill Ltd: Tour of grain elevator and seed cleaning plant
- Guelph Lake: Hike and discussion with GRCA on formation of the man-made Guelph Lake
- Winroe Gardens: Tour of a Mennonite farm and farm market. Products available for purchase (cash only)
