Congratulations to our recent Landscape Architecture graduates who were recognized for their outstanding achievements at the Ontario Agricultural College Convocation Awards Ceremony on June 11th, 2026, at the University of Guelph.

The OAC Chanasyk Medal for Professionalism was awarded to Bachelor of Landscape Architecture graduate Faustine Liu and Master of Landscape Architecture graduate Linna Chang in recognition of their professionalism and contributions to the field.

The OAC Friendship Gardens Prize in Environmental Improvement was awarded to Bachelor of Landscape Architecture graduate Sarah Letourneau for her commitment to environmental stewardship and improvement.

Two graduating landscape architecture students were also recognized by the Landscape Architecture Foundation as Olmsted Scholars [1] for 2026.  This external award is an honour that denotes distinguished student leadership in landscape architecture. Emily Pham has been recognized as an undergraduate (BLA) recipient, and Ramtin Shafaghati as a graduate recipient.

Other external graduating awards recently announced were the American Society of Landscape Architects [2] Student Honor and Merit awards to BLA recipients Emily Pham, Habiba Elshamy, Matteo De Florentis, Krish Jain, Rory Labelle, Andrew Marumoto; and MLA recipients: Kimia Joyandeh, James Craig.  This award recognizes excellence in the study of landscape architecture and skills related to the art and technology of the field.

We extend our congratulations to these graduates on their well-deserved accomplishments and wish them continued success in their careers.
