The Guelph Wellington Digital Equity Coalition (GWDEC) is a network of community leaders working together to improve access to reliable internet, quality devices, and opportunities to develop digital skills. Join us at the Guelph Public Library Main Branch or online on Teams to celebrate GWDEC's five-year journey and learn about the impact of its digital inclusion initiatives. Over the past five years, various SEDRD students have been involved in GWDEC.
Together, we'll explore the digital divide and the evolving challenges facing our community, including cybersecurity threats, artificial intelligence, and the growing shift from in-person to online services. As we look ahead, we'll also discuss what is needed to build the dedicated community capacity required to ensure everyone can fully participate in our increasingly digital world.
