Gibson Elected President of Canadian Community Economic Development Network

During the July board of directors meeting of the Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet), Dr. Ryan Gibson was re-elected president for a one-year term. CCEDNet is a member-driven, not for-profit, charitable organization made up of community-based organizations, co-operatives, social enterprises, practitioners, active citizens, researchers, and other organizations involved in community economic development. CCEDNet works to strengthen CED in urban, rural, northern and Aboriginal communities across Canada, and contribute to better social, economic and environmental conditions at the local level. For more information visit the CCEDNet website here [1].  Ryan has served on the CCEDNet board of directors since 2007 and has served as president since 2015.  

Dr. Gibson is the Libro Professor of Regional Economic Development in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development.
