University of Guelph's Master Plan and Implementation to Receive the CSLA's Legacy Project Award

Submitted by dfoolen on August 31st, 2017 4:39 PM

The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) recently announced that the University of Guelph's Master Plan and Implementation has won the CSLA Legacy Project Award for 2017.

The University of Guelph campus has just been recognized by CSLA as a legacy landscape, designed by landscape architects in the 1960s.  This means that every day you walk on campus you are benefiting from the vision of landscape architects who integrated and enhanced the special character of Guelph through their long-range planning and design.  Kudos to the world-renowned firm, Project Planning, and former employees of the firm (and later UofG faculty), Owen Scott, FCSLA and Walter Kehm, FCSLA.

It is a great honour for the UofG and the first legacy award made by the CSLA.  Learn more about the CSLA announcement at the link here [1] and the University of Guelph news article here [2].
