The Manitoba Looks North Webinar Series is a collaborative series of presentations on economic development in Northern Communities. The Webinars highlight Manitoba examples of the challenges Northern communities face, as well as the strategies some communities have used to build prosperous and stable local economies. Community Leaders will be invited to engage in self-reflection and analysis on the state of their own communities, possible paths forward, and the need for community-driven action.

The webinar is hosted by the Rural Policy Learning Commons [1].  The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development is a member of the Rural Policy Learning Commons. To join the webinar register here [2].

About Us

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) brings together major academic fields concerned with creating strong communities, in Canada and around the world. The four highly respected programs in SEDRD share many common goals but approach them in different and complementary ways. This model reflects the imperatives in building authentic communities where planners, landscape architects, communicators, and citizens all play important interdependent roles in community strength.
