The College of Management & Economics is committed to engaging in research that has the potential to change lives and improve life. This means not only ensuring that we are pursuing questions of relevance and importance in our disciplines, organizations, industries and communities, but also to the translation of this knowledge, the encouragement of its application or transfer, and the assessment of our success at doing so.
Research that counts builds on the freedom to explore promising ideas, a broad understanding of historical context, strong theoretical framework and an engagement with business and society to harness the benefits of new knowledge. CME is committed to all aspects of the research process.
The College contributes fundamental and applied cutting-edge research in a wide variety of fields and themes. We value the creation of advanced knowledge on a globally competitive basis, its application to local problems and the development of socially useful solutions. Collectively, our scholarly work helps to change lives and improve life, both locally and globally. We participate in discovery based research as well as application, integration and the scholarship of teaching and learning and pursue and value both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
