RA (r-a)
A Resident Assistant is a student employee in the Residenc Life Staff group of Student Housing Services. RA are responsible for discipline, support and general programming in a section of residence.
RACER
The name given to the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) Virtual Catalogue and Interlibrary Loan System. This system is used by the library for placing Interlibrary Loan requests.
RAD
Rural and Agricultural Development is a Specialization offered at the undergraduate level. Refer to the Specializations and Their Degrees chart at the start of Section X--Degree Programs in the current Undergraduate Calendar for more information.
Raithby House (ray-th-bee)
Raithby House is located on Winegard Walk and Branion Plaza opposite to the cannon and beside the Bullring.

The Rural Development Centre is located on the Ridgetown Campus in Ridgetown, Ontario (see the Ridgetown Campus map for location).
REACH Huron
Regional Equine and Agricultural Centre of Huron is a facility located in Clinton, Ontario. This is the location where the Ridgetown Campus delivers its Performance Horse Handler Certificate program.

REYN (renn-olds building)
Reynolds Building is located to the west of Winegard Walk on Stadium Walk and is the home of both the Computing and Information Science department and the Office of Research.
Reynolds Walk
A walkway that extends from the J.T. Powell Building, past the UC to the rear of the Animal Science and Nutrition Building on the west side of Gordon Street.
RICH (rich-ards building)
Richards Building is located on Reynolds Walk and houses the Land Resource Science department.
Ridgetown
Ridgetown Campus is a campus of the University in Western Ontario that delivers Associate Diploma programs.
Ring
The Bullring A circular building located between Day Hall and Raithby House inside which livestock used to be shown. The building houses a campus bar run by the CSA also known as the Bullring.
ROFR
Right of First Refusal is a term used in the context of teaching postings for sessional instructors.
ROZH (r-o-z-h)
Rozanski Hall consists of four lecture halls (600, 400, 200 and 120 seats) and five classrooms (60, 40 and three 30 seats). It is located in the centre of campus, opposite the Bullring.
RLS (r-l-s)
Residence Life Staff are employed by Student Housing Services. RLS includes Residence Managers (RMs), Resident Assistants (RAs), Programmer RAs, Living Learning Centre Staff and Academic Learning Community staff.
RM (r-m)
A Residence Manager is a full-time employee in the Residenc Life Staff of Student Housing Services. The RM is responsible for the co-ordination of discipline, support and general programming in a residence as the immediate supervisor of the residences RA staff.
