Ship in insulated container with freezer packs.

Collection Protocol

Pluck with forceps or scrape with a scalpel blade and collect into a leakproof sterile container. Do NOT submit scalpel blade to lab. Refrigerate immediately.

Additional Information

Testing for presence of Dermatophilus-like organisms. Negative Giemsa stain does not exclude Dermatophilus spp. infection and aerobic culture is still recommended.
