Collection Protocol

Collect into a leakproof sterile container. 1) Refrigerate immediately. 2) Store at room temperature.

Additional Information

Wet mount is routinely done as a part of fungal culture (myc). This test is used for microscopic detection of fungal elements. Negative wet mountdoes not exclude fungal infection, and fungal culture is still recommended.
