Acknowledging OMAFA Funding

Recipients of funding must acknowledge Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) support in all public communications products, including news releases, web copy, magazine stories, public-facing reports, interviews, journal articles, conference posters and oral presentations.

Acknowledgment of OMAFA’s support for your research-related activities lets Ontarians know where the government invests its resources and fosters an appreciation of the important role funding plays in making good research happen.

Whenever possible, please acknowledge verbally, or in writing, your OMAFA funding.

This includes all communications related to research centres owned by Agricultural Research and Innovation Ontario (ARIO), an agency of the Government of Ontario accountable to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness.

Please also make it clear that your project was supported by OMAFA and is not a product of OMAFA.

Please advise the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance before, or as soon as possible after, completing a media interview related to work funded through the Alliance.
