Research Program Directors
Research Program Directors (RPDs) play a vital leadership role in the delivery of the research program and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators. Specifically, RPDs help to ensure that Agreement-funded research meets the priorities set by OMAFRA, that research results are disseminated and that partnerships are built with stakeholders. As leaders in their field of research, RPDs also act as ambassadors for the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, both locally and globally. Promoting Alliance priorities to U of G researchers, while encouraging and fostering collaboration with leading researchers from around the world, helps ensure that the University can develop and maintain the capacity to respond to emerging agri-food related research problems and opportunities.
RPDs are also an important source of guidance to their U of G peers. Faculty applying to Alliance programs are encouraged to reach out to their respective RPD with questions during the development of their proposals.
