CampusPress is an intuitive, modern, low-cost, cloud-based content management system (CMS) for building and delivering faculty, lab and research websites. This service is intended to be self-serve. It allows for the creation of a WordPress-based website using a University of Guelph-branded theme.

If you are a faculty member who only wishes to have a profile page, please contact the website manager for your department to create/edit a profile on your department's website.
Costs
This service is free for Fiscal Year 2019-20.
$50/year will be charged beginning in Fiscal Year 2020-21.
This fee does not include costs associated with custom domain name registration. If you would like to use your own domain name, such as https://www.examplelabsite.com, we can register the domain for you, at an additional cost.
AODA-Compliant Theme
The CampusPress service offers a University of Guelph-branded, AODA-compliant theme that takes care of the majority of work for you.
Note: Content creators using this service are still responsible for making sure the content of their sites is accessible. According to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA):
- any new public websites, significantly refreshed websites and any web content posted after January 1, 2012 must meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A.
- Beginning January 1, 2021, all University of Guelph public websites and web content posted after January 1, 2012 must meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, other than success criteria 1.2.4 (live captions) and 1.2.5 (pre-recorded audio descriptions).

- To get started with the theme, review the U of G CampusPress Theme Quick Start Guide (PDF) [12] (also available in Word format [13]).
- Visit the U of G CampusPress Demo Site [14] to see a sample site.
- To login to your CampusPress site add /wp-admin at the end of your CampusPress site URL and use your central login id to sign into your site by clicking 'Use My School ID'.
- For assistance with your site, open a Support Ticket [15] with CampusPress.

Congratulations!
- If your site meets AODA compliance, you can go public with your new site using the Edublogs privacy controls [18].
- Once public, send an email to darc@uoguelph.ca [19] (Digital Accessibility Resource Centre) to add your site to Siteimprove, the University of Guelph's automated accessibility checker.
When sharing your new site, remember that the public URL will be either https://sitename.uoguelph.ca or a custom domain (e.g. www.sitename.ca).
