Degree-Credit Students
Your undergraduate degree is more than a checklist of required courses; it’s an opportunity to shape your education around your interests and career goals. One of the smartest ways to do that is by pursuing a degree-credit certificate alongside your main program.
Instead of choosing electives at random, a certificate gives your course selections a clear purpose. You’ll graduate not only with a degree, but with a cohesive set of additional competencies.
If you are a degree-credit student, please register for certificate courses through WebAdvisor. Additional certificate and diploma options, that include in-person course options, can be found in the University of Guelph's Academic Calendar.
Open Learning Program Students
If you are not currently enrolled in a degree program at the University of Guelph, you may register for degree-credit courses in our Open Learning Program.
As an Open Learning Program student, you may register for individual courses without applying to an undergraduate degree, making it easier than ever to start learning right away. Whether you’re exploring a new field, upgrading your skills, or pursuing professional development, this flexible option puts you in control of your educational journey.
If you are an Open Learning Program students, please register for certificate courses through the SCS Student Portal. Visit our How to Register page for additional support.
