Convocation Schedule

Registering For Your Ceremony

All graduates must register to attend a convocation ceremony. Please visit the Register for Your Ceremony section of the Students page to register for your convocation ceremony. 

Schedule of Ceremonies

All convocation ceremonies will be held in the Event Centre of the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre.

Ceremony registration for Winter and Summer 2024 grads will open on WebAdvisor on Wednesday, March 20 and will close on Friday, May 17 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Graduates MUST REGISTER through WebAdvisor and complete the gown rental payment in order to participate in a ceremony. Payment deadline for all gown rentals and guest tickets is May 31st at 4:00 p.m. ET.

In addition to attending Convocation, we welcome you to attend and be recognized at the Celebration of Indigenous Achievement hosted annually by the Indigenous Student Centre at the end of the Winter semester. The Celebration is a unique opportunity to celebrate your successes with family, friends and communities that supported your educational journey.

Future Ceremony Dates

The dates of convocation will take place within the following parameters:

Winter Convocation

Effective February 2020, senate approved a motion to end the practice of holding winter (February) convocation ceremonies. This decision only affects the ceremony. Students who finish their studies in the fall semester will still be able to receive their degree parchment in the winter semester and will be welcome to attend the summer (June) convocation ceremony and formally cross the stage at that time.

Summer Convocation

During the week of the second Monday of June.

Fall Convocation

On the Tuesday immediately following Thanksgiving Monday in October.
