Chem Quest

Chemistry is everywhere, from the food we eat to the materials we use every day. In Chem Quest, campers in Grades 6-8 will explore the fascinating world of chemistry through hands-on experiments and investigations.

Campers will dive into multiple areas of chemistry, while developing practical lab skills and scientific thinking. At least one day of the camp will highlight food chemistry, where campers will explore the science behind cooking and create their own edible creations (just like our popular Cooking with Chemistry camp!). Throughout the program, campers will also have opportunities to learn from UofG chemistry mentors, gaining insight into chemistry studies and careers.

Expect to See

Hands-on chemistry experiments and investigations, exploration of multiple areas of chemistry, a dedicated food chemistry experience with take-home creations, and opportunities to learn from UofG chemistry mentors!
