Creative Encounters PD Day Camps

Creative Encounters offers fun and educational PD Day Camps for students in Guelph and the surrounding area. These full-day, on-campus STEM camps align with the Upper Grand District School Board calendar and provide an exciting way for students to spend their PD Day.

Our one-day camps are packed with hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), all designed to spark curiosity and creativity in a supportive and inclusive environment. Campers will explore exciting STEM challenges and experiments while also enjoying outdoor play, games, and opportunities to make new friends. Each PD Day Camp is carefully planned to be both fun and enriching, perfect for curious minds who love to explore.

Upcoming PD Day Camp

Date: June 5, 2026
Location: University of Guelph campus
Time: 8:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
*Cost: $60 per participant

*Extended Care (pre and post camp childcare) can be purchased for a flat rate of $15.00 per camper. Registration will take place through UofG’s Event Link system.

Campers should bring their own lunch, two snacks, and be dressed for indoor and outdoor activities, including weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle.


Camp Programs by Age Group

Grades 2-3

Young explorers will spend the day discovering the fun side of STEM through hands-on experiments, creative building activities, and interactive challenges. Campers will explore science and engineering concepts while working together, asking questions, and testing their ideas in a fun and supportive environment.

Grades 4-5

Campers will dive into exciting STEM challenges that combine creativity, problem-solving, and experimentation. Through hands-on activities and collaborative design projects, participants will build, test, and improve their ideas while exploring real-world science and engineering concepts.

Older campers will tackle more advanced STEM challenges that involve critical thinking, experimentation, and design. Participants will investigate scientific ideas, develop engineering solutions, and work collaboratively to solve complex problems.
