Volunteer with Creative Encounters: Make a Difference Through STEM!

Are you passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and eager to give back to your community? Join the Creative Encounters with Science volunteer team at the University of Guelph this summer and help deliver fun, hands-on STEM experiences to curious young minds.

Volunteering with us isn’t just about assisting—it’s about inspiring the next generation, gaining real-world experience, building your resume, and growing your leadership skills in a dynamic, supportive environment. Plus, you'll be part of a team that makes STEM exciting and accessible for youth!

Who Can Apply?

We’re looking for enthusiastic and responsible volunteers who enjoy working with youth! Ideal candidates include:

  • High school students (Grade 11 or higher)
  • University students
  • Educators and individuals with youth leadership experience

Volunteering with us is a fantastic way for high school students to complete their 40 volunteer hours while having fun, learning, and growing leadership skills.

As a STEM Camp Volunteer, You Will:

  • Inspire kids to explore and love STEM
  • Assist with hands-on science and engineering activities
  • Help prepare materials and support daily programming
  • Lead fun lunchtime games and activities
  • Be a valuable and vibrant part of our summer team!

Note: Volunteers aged 18 or older are required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check prior to volunteering.

  • Email your resume and a short cover letter explaining why you’d love to join our team to cse@uoguelph.ca
  • Please allow 2–4 weeks to process police checks if applicable.
  • Selected volunteers will be contacted in May or June to confirm schedules.
