Myth-Busting Magic
Not everything is as it seems… In Myth-Busting Magic, campers in Grades 6-8 will investigate myths, illusions, and “magical” claims using real science!
Campers will explore concepts from chemistry, physics, psychology, and more as they design experiments, test variables, and analyze evidence. By challenging common myths and uncovering the science behind “magic,” campers will develop strong scientific reasoning and learn how scientists separate fact from fiction. Throughout the program, campers will also have opportunities to learn from UofG STEM mentors, gaining insight into science and the importance of scientific research!
Expect to See
Myth-busting experiments and investigations, exploration of chemistry, physics, and more, hands-on testing and analysis of “magical” claims, and opportunities to learn from and connect with UofG mentors!
