Many experiential learning opportunities offered at the University of Guelph require submission of an application or resume and completion of an interview. The EL Hub has a number of resources to support you in building these self-marketing tools.
Identify Transferable Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes
Transferable knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSAs) are developed throughout your life. Whether you have years of work history or you're new to the job market, your life experiences give you a wealth of abilities that can help you in social, academic or professional situations. Reflecting on examples of when you have developed KSAs can help you market yourself for future work or volunteer opportunities. Additionally, taking the time to consider which KSAs you would like to improve on can help you select experiential learning experiences that will provide the development you're looking for.
To support your ability to identify knowledge, skills, and attitudes developed through experiential learning, University of Guelph experiences are tagged with common employability outcomes.
