Cara Wehkamp
Assistant Vice-President (Indigenous Initiatives)
Dr. Cara Wehkamp (she/they) is Algonquin Anishinàbe with family, community, kinship ties in the upper Ottawa Valley. Cara is a higher education and student affairs professional with interests in land based relationships and food sovereignty; Indigenous identity and well-being; and reconciliation and decolonization in education. Cara has served in various roles at the University of Guelph including the Aboriginal Student Advisor, Manager of the Office of Intercultural Affairs, Manager of the Indigenous Student Centre and Special Advisor to the Provost/President until her current role as the Assistant Vice-President (Indigenous Initiatives).

Sarina Perchak
Project Coordinator
Sarina Perchak (she/her) is a mixed Métis woman with Irish and Ukrainian ancestry, originally from the Red River Métis Homeland and Treaty One Territory. Sarina is a two-time alumnus of the University of Guelph and is interested in Indigenous youth engagement and Land-based learning; Indigenous food sovereignty and intergenerational relationships; and Indigenization, reconciliation and decolonization in education.
